JP TruDoc’s Guide to Wisdom, Humility and Humor

This website is graciously offered to viewers who want to learn a lot more about a lot of controversial and confusing things. I will blog about once per week offering insights into contemporary scientific, medical and political topics that will thrill, perplex and challenge you beyond your wildest dreams. I am an insider turned outsider amidst the regrettable turmoil of our current age, where constructive dialogue has been replaced by discord and, in many cases, science has been replaced by political science. Most of you do not know what or whom to believe, especially on various medical, public health and scientific fronts. I will guide you through the maze of information, misinformation, disinformation, and overt nonsense on your long overdue pathway toward enlightenment. You are owed that much.

Let me give you a couple of potentially explosive examples, both that will resonate with you at once.

#1 - Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, how did this “6 foot” social distancing number come about? Is it based upon good science or just a frequently used “WAG (Wild Ass Guess).”

#2 - Regardless of your position on the matter (i.e. “Pro-Choice” or “Pro-Life,”) does a fetus experience pain during an abortion procedure? Does it matter?

#3 - What is the truth behind this suffocating climate change controversy? Are we doomed to a roasting oblivion if we do not adopt the “Green New Deal,” and end life as we know it?

#4 - What is the real science behind many toxic tort litigation proclamations (or confabulations) like ones that assert the high risk of cancer after using certain weed-killers or baby powders or even drinking tap water in certain cities around the USA. How do expert witnesses prepare to make the cases for or against such claims? Are claimants ever given just compensation for their injuries?

I have hundreds of such examples to offer with brief, focused, relevant discussions that will be designed to make you think, talk to (or argue with) your friends and family, and if necessary, take constructive action to robustly take the topic further.

I can offer expert opinions on such subjects because I am both a board-certified medical doctor and a doctoral level engineer (more about all of this later).

In the meantime, I am humbled and excited to launch this website. I hope that you will join the journey to a balanced, sober, informed and thoroughly satisfying intellectual endpoint. Now, let the journey begin!

But before we begin, let me tell you a little bit more about myself and my latest book, “Bite the Hand That Feeds You.”

I am James P. Kornberg, MD, ScD, aka ‘JP TruDoc.’ I am a Harvard, MIT, Dartmouth and Columbia trained clinical physician-engineer, author, insider, and medical-legal expert who has treated and/or evaluated thousands of persons afflicted with every conceivable type of hazardous substance exposure. I have consulted on hundreds of important toxic tort litigation cases since 1980.

Now I have written my first novel about one of those astounding cases. It is a wild and woolly ride into reality with an overdose of fantasy. It had to be fictionalized because the stakes would have been too high to make it a non-fictional account of events. Besides, it makes for a better story.

A Cautionary Tale about a Devastated Community’s Quest for Environmental Justice Following Hurricane Katrina

On the heels of "A Civil Action," "Erin Brockovich," and now, the movie "Dark Waters," JP TruDoc's Bite the Hand That Feeds You takes readers into the fictionalized inner sanctum of toxic tort litigation where  plaintiffs and defendants collide, battling for billions.

Also, in the genre of the Flint, Michigan water crisis, baby powder, weed killer and other environmentally induced cancers, this novel explores a dark corner of the American justice system and a world of unscrupulous government contractors and corrupt, amoral villains. TruDoc describes:  “I have been a scientific, medical expert insider for over 40 years. Without me and other experts, all toxic tort, medical-legal cases are dead on arrival. After over 900 cases, I finally decided to write a novel about my firsthand experiences in battling for environmental justice for thousands of displaced persons after apocalyptic Hurricane Katrina.

This vulnerable group was relocated into FEMA trailers contaminated with formaldehyde from uncured plywood glue,  sold to the government by corrupt manufacturers. The novel tells the story of one 13-year-old boy, his missing dog, and his beloved family, all of whom had to endure the tragedy of this  debilitating exposure." Bite the Hand That Feeds You reveals formaldehyde's  toll on lungs, skin and life itself. And the novel also describes the twisted legal system that could have cared less, while laughing in the faces of this boy, his family, and other Katrina exposure victims.

As the novel unfolds, Dr. Tristan P. Baines, survivalist and physician/engineer expert for the Katrina plaintiffs, finds himself and his family targeted by the  underground defendant organization, The Resistance, a violent, rogue cabal  that is determined to stop his efforts. The Resistance ghouls are tired of paying millions to those whose lives they have destroyed. But little do they know what pain awaits them when Tristan commits to bringing them down.

Bite the Hand That Feeds You is also a cautionary tale, warning persons in need that what is offered free may be loaded with liability, risk and injury.
